Can’t tell how much the allegations are going to stick but Kendrick definitely did something big to his image in the short term at least

One week removed and Drake’s freakiness is more vague and a funny punchline. It doesn’t seem like people are treating the allegations with any true gravity yet

    Kendrick won by a mile.

Drake is not going anywhere tho. He is too valuable to labels, blogs, youtubers, podcasters, sport media outlets etc.

The economy of Drake is too powerful. Anything he does gets high engagement numbers because everyone has a strong opinion on him. Either you love him or you hate him - no inbetween. One of the most controversial artist ever.

I never said he's going anywhere. He just signed a 400 million dollar deal with Universal. It'd have to be over their dead body. All I said is that the public will never look at him or any of his future releases the same again.

Another stupid post. Imagine thinking the bulk of the people who listen to Drake's music (including those who claim to hate him) will stop because of a beef with Kendrick Lamar. Keep gassing up this moment. I'll be sure to remind you of how stupid your comments were.

He didn't do s*** expect empower the people who already think the worst of Drake and that's a small minority.

You know it's funny that Drake is actually super anti industry, refuses to play the games with award shows, kissing the rings and is open about his issues with certain entities but he somehow is labeled as the machine meanwhile Kendrick and his team has played every industry game there is, from the mandatory pop features, playing ball with rolling stone, media execs, The corporate commercials with cash app and pgLang suddenly becoming a partner with NGOs straight out the gate, for every label they throw on drake for being super industry, Kendrick has done the same if not More industry s***.

    Great point.

Drake has been hinting at the Industry sabotaging him for a while.

On red button he states “Radio is king again, Billboard got me regulated, wanna make it fair for you numbers that I generated”

If you pay attention to the weekly breakdown of the top 10 singles in the country, Drake has almost to no radio play for his songs compared to other artists. Whereas when it comes to streaming he is definitively the biggest.

Knowing this, it’s remarkable how FATD managed to do 400k+ first week and his tour being predicted to gross 300mill domestically.

The guy really is in rarified air. That’s why I don’t entertain any of these discussions on who the biggest artists is currently. It’s clear as day that their is a coordinated and contrived machine behind Taylor Swift, Kendrick and even The Weeknd at certain points.

The resentment towards Drake like you previously mentioned is that he moves on his own accord.

I feel like it’s because drake don’t really release singles first to push before dropping an album. I can’t even remember the last rollout where he dropped a single and few months later dropped an album. He either surprise drop or gives us a week or 2 before dropping an album. He probably don’t care about radio like that

Yeah cause he is past playing the game at this point and he has said as much ever since more life, that's why if you pay attention to certain moved industry wise there has been a coordinated effort to downplay everything he does. After this UMG deal, he gonna Go "Independent" he already allegedly has equity within Gamma and he moved OVO to Santa Anna Label group outside of the UMG stable.

Kendrick breaking that record seems suspect to me.

I feel Spotify aggressively pushed that song to humble him (no pun intended).

They did. The song was added to their autoplay algorithm and would immediately be the song that plays after a song you selected. Notice how it kept gaining till it broke Drake's record and then it immediately started bleeding streams and hasn't come anywhere to its peak numbers since, despite being more popular now than it was the week it dropped?

Don't talk facts in this section they'll get at you. Still to this day Drake is getting Meek'd in every corner of the internet outside of WordOnRoad posts and this section. His stans will see what they want to see and that only. Let them think that's the reality. Lol
