i also think the current climate/sentiment towards judaism gives him a longer leash. the actions of israel have made antisemitism seem rational to many

It's the other way around lol, he's only being rehabilitated because he patched things up with the Jews. He hasn't apologised to any other group he offended

So you still listen to R Kelly?

The complete most overrated R&B artist of all time.

He had some chances to make something that could’ve compete with What’s Going On and Innervisions, but chose to continue make immature ass songs about f***ing or scenarios surrounding underage girls, due to how broken of a man he is.

F*** that nigga and his catalog.

He’s literally the Tyler Perry of R&B.

Trapped in the Closet is just a glorified hip-hopera of the Haves and Have Nots.

Its a complicated situation isn’t it? Mental health, propaganda, media manipulation, allegations, politics, ethics surrounding art etc. Why would you expect everyone to be on the same page on any one of these topics let alone on one man at the center of it all?

To answer your question, I’ve seen: people who care but are willing to give him another chance, people who care and have moved on from him, people who don’t care, people who actively root against “cancel culture” regardless of context, and his new nazi youth fans that he unfortunately picked up

Bottom line is people care about him for better or worse and that is never going to change as is the case with most influential people. We’re all on this site for a reason as frustrating as it is sometimes.

Its a complicated situation isn’t it?

    No it's pretty straightforward

Thank you so much for this information! I've always felt passionately about education, just never felt like I was the typical archetype of person they would feel comfortable being a teacher, but these days I feel like the kids are honestly in crucial need of better mentors so I feel a little more passionate about it now that I have a nephew and niece

    No problem.

It's OK, by the way, if you aren't an "academic" by nature. Students need adults who are good role models and give a f*** about them. The lesson plans are secondary to that. Part of being a role model is modeling a good life and the students look up to you if they know you're killing it on all fronts. They trust wise, experienced people who believe in themselves more than they trust highly educated academics who can't relate. It might be good that you're an outsider.

Thank you so much, I had the exact same line of thinking while I was just pondering to myself about it. 100%. When I personally was in school I always respected the teachers with more life experience compared to those that were just book smart
