NoirWhat does me not listening to music I love by an artist who does s***ty things do to improve the world in any way?
I spend 8 hours a day teaching literature, creative writing, self expression and the importance of empathy to teenagers. Me streaming All the Love doesn't suddenly make me an uncaring person. It's a goofy line of thinking.

but don't microdecisions like these add up? the decision to stream and add to the discussion, which can influence others to do the same. the numbers add up, the ego goes up, and once again the cycle repeats of him having a flare up and him doing some off the wall s*** on or off camera. its a clear cycle to me...

Apr 8For me, personally, I might no longer see Ye as a nice guy, especially when his apologies are written in bureaucratic language, but it doesn't change that he made tons of great music. So if I have an opportunity to see him, I would.
I think even when I saw stream from Sofi, I no longer got as inspired or hyped as I once was for Ye, as I understood how truly egoistic this person is. It is like before I thought that he is singing about everyone, but then I understood that it is all about lifting him up.

JPGpersonally I think he is a deeply flawed mentally ill man of addiction to substances + ego but he is the most vulnerable artist in recorded history who has shown some few promising steps to returning to creating art in a meaningful way while fixing the issues he created. and I will take him at face value for his apology because we can do nothing but hope for him to be well and use his influence positively.

Acceptable behavior in public? Absolutely not.
When you deal with years of micro-aggressions, hatred, people switching up, being taken advantage of and doubted I think the most important thing ever to do is become the most successful person you can be and punch down on the people that got in your way and triple down on shaming them no matter how nasty it looks.
I don’t co-sign the actions, but I am forever grateful that he tripled down and outperformed some of the biggest pieces of s*** on the planet this past decade.
It brings me joy to watch the agents, journalists, fair weather fans, the normie public, the fake ass politicians and elites watch real life emotion with all its deep contradictions and scars outperform this fake “LOVE” & acceptance they pushed on us.

I’ve seen the personal impact of anti semetism on our communities and I can tell you that synogogues and businesses arent needing police protection from far right anti semetism despite it being also very harmful
