You should baptize the baby and be it’s godparents. Be actual godparents and help support the child
We don't get into all that religious shizz. But absolutely, the hardest part right now is mentally transitioning from being her parents to being her aunt and uncle
Yea after 9 months I ain’t just handing shorty the baby. The police gonna have to get involved.
Thought this is what I wanted, and it kind of is. But man does it hurt a whole lot
EDIT:
This is not about a female. Me and my girl are still together. But the baby we have been raising since she was born and for the past 9 months was taken away from us.
Age bro

Idk. Less messy this way, in Delaware dude it doesn't really matter what the mother does she's favored 98% of the ti e. Getting the police involved would've only caused us more stress, traumatize the baby, and lessen our chances of ever actually getting to see her again, which means a bit to my girl. Like I posted, she's already asking us to watch the baby and it hasn't even been 2 weeks.
Bro that's actually weird asf your calling it "my baby" that's not your kid
As long as it's being taken care of by someone you should be happy for it
Man and now she just asked if my girl wanted to babysit her for the night
That poor baby gonna need u either way by the sounds of it

I'm calling it my baby because I've literally had her since she was born? In a time when both of the birth parents said f*** the baby I opened my home to it fully prepared to raise it for life. So please tell me how I'm wrong for calling it my baby

Yea and ur still not the blood related parent so not ur baby
and u only had it for 9 months
Compare that to the potential 18 years it will spend with its real parents
Calling it "my baby" without considering the outlook of its future is just some weird attachment u have
The parents are now owning up to there responsibility and it's very selfish of you to say 'no my kid now'

You don't have kids

I'd liken it to taking care of someone's pet for a few months
Without the nuance of the parents situation ofc

If someone said they didn't want their pet for nine months and I took care of it I probably would be pretty upset if they just wanted it back after that

You have no understanding of human relationships then

Yes I'd probably still be pretty upset
You have no understanding of human relationships then
I understand how it would feel in the short term but if u look past that it's nbd

Yeah I agree but would u be upset like 5 yrs later when the kid/pet is a toddler
But its not 5 years later
OP is dealing with an emotionally intense situation right now, and your insensitive ass is in here criticizing him for thinking of the child he's been raising since birth as his own
