I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, because all of nas’s most iconic stuff was written by him. He wrote illmatic by himself most likely. And that’s really his legacy

Kanye claimed he wrote it and then later claimed hitler was a good person so I’m not sure how much of that we can even believe.

But why would a ghostwriter tell if he did write it. Quentin initially denied writing for drake right ?

He could've helped Nas structure the verses better, helped with flows, a hook, or told him nah say it like this instead of that. There's people that worked with Kanye that have said that he will credit you for the most minute contributions to a track.
F***in French Montana is credited on "All Day" because he brought the OG version of the beat to Kanye before they added all that s*** in.
I'm not saying this is what Quentin did but the vagueness of it all is frustrating especially when we hear his name we think of "reference tracks for Drake"

If you watched any of his interviews, he doesnt want to be a GHOSTwriter. He wants the artists he works with to be honest about them working with him instead of hiding it and the fans to be okay with it

Jan 24, 2023It will be one of those things rappers always deny but I doubt there's many rappers who have wrote every single line of their work. If they working on a song in the studio with a bunch of people and someone come up with a hot line or 2 they're not going to feel like frauds for using it.

Jan 24, 2023Ghostwriting used to get me hot, and it still seems kinda odd in a medium where most of the legwork is in what’s being said and how you’re saying it, as opposed to the vocal performance, but so many GOATs have been confirmed to use ghostwriters here and there that I now realize it doesn’t necessarily make someone a bad artist
