Overhated album, true blockbuster, dynamic song structures, fun features by older legends, the entrance in the game by Anderson .Paak, Kendrick with one of his greatest verses of all time (Deep Water)
Just a great album where I disagree on the concensus of it being bad. Although I still prefer both Chronic albums, Compton was one of my favorites of 2015 which in itself was one of the most stacked years for hiphop albums we’ve ever seen
Talking to my Diary is a GOAT Dre song.

That’s a gem for sure.
from original detox sessions too
Yeah, I think this Snoop album is probably gonna be corny, and attempt to be unnecessarily shocking. We'll see
hopefully not

Definitely not a bad album lol
Given the hype for Detox though Dre switching up and giving us that to accompany the Straight Outta Compton film release essentially made people feel like it was a letdown more than it actually was
Obviously ppl wanted those old G Funk vibes to be a bit more prominent on there as well but I truly think if he had slapped the name Detox on it instead mfs would have had more praise for it
Still it introduced us to Paak and him and Kenny were kind of the Snoop and Em showcase appearances so it still had that aspect plus the older features as well who held it down (love that Snoop verse)
Yessss
It’s real
We might see a unicorn this year
This better be fire
At least on par with what LL and Q Tip did, havent been as into Dre’s production the last 10 years tbh
Really ? Not 1 but 2 albums fully produced by Dre in 2024
I’m speechless
2k24 a crazy year
