HAHA!!! Take a shot every time he spells his own name sounds like a very dangerous game. You're right. Snoop has never been high on substance lyrically. Doggystyle is a classic of course though. Dre's beats were peak, and Snoop's delivery in that era was so smooth he could've been rhyming Mother Goose and still sounded good. Murder Was The Case and Li'l Ghetto Boy are a couple tracks where Snoop was actually saying a little bit of something. I'm sure there are others sprinkled throughout his career here and there. Murder Was The Case always sounded like it was heavily influenced by Scarface to me. Recite those lyrics in your head but in Scarface's voice. Maybe it's just me, but I can definitely hear Face's influence there.

At this stage of Snoop Dogg’s career I don’t really expect or even hope for a full good album. I just hope that if I’m ever on a Snoop Dogg kick and spinning through his discography there’s a few tracks I can throw in rotation for that. The intro with Swizz Beats and Long Beachin are the only songs I think I’ll find myself listening to again and Snoop didn’t even rap on Long Beachin lol
