Yes! City of God is one of the best intros I've heard this year. Features were perfect, Navy killed it, album is tight. The rest of his work I've heard is really dark/grimy, so the Navy prod here was a welcomed complement
yeah many ppl saying this was a different direction for Lordy, need to peep some other projects too after this for sure
Turns out I been listening to these dudes for 2 years at the least, just didn't know they were affiliated in any type of way, and kept stumbling on them as the type of artists I was seeking out.
The discography is overwhelming from these laddies.
mastered so many of the greatest albums coming out of this scene, still underrated as a solo artist
Kinda got a feeling if Navy drops on the 22nd and especially if it's the MIKE collab there's a good chance he'll f*** up our AOTY lists
Not even as much of a fan of Ada Irin as some others itt but there was def some goat-tier songs on that already

Plus there's this classic of course
(soon got its 1yr anniversary)

He did have that track 22! on Ada (is that like his birthday or some other significant date?), if we’re speaking on confirming that 12/22 date.
That project is still so so special to me. Production, vibes, everything hits. With Sage, Life’s Riddle, Crash!, In Good Hands, Ode2MyLove, Love Is

Yo interesting relation about 22, but I looked it up our man's was actually still 22 this January
kinda shocked how young he is... That means he was 14 in that skate vid with Earl from the The Mint cover art, or when the Earl tape dropped that same year

man’s making me feel like a loser for being the same age
But that’s insane. Imagine where he’s gonna be in like 5 years, the s*** he’ll accomplish
Does he act? Cause he needs to do a Gil Scott Heron biopic at some point

yeah it's so wild to me most of these guys are so young, MIKE and Mavi are younger than me
Don't think Sage has acted before but he's not a stranger to being filmed for sure. I think he'd prolly be a natural just like Na'kel. That Gil Scott biopic rly needs to happen
he also quotes him in this i-D piece from a couple months ago I just came across
Got you with those depressed vibes

Need an album from her in an extremely expeditious manner
Kinda feel like it's time to counter this bs with something more accurate tbh. I thought of something like Pan-African Rap maybe, the flag is probably the one thing which connects all of these artists. Something to describe the murky and glitchy style and common theme of depression would also be good though. Black Empowerment Blues
BAM, Black American Music

Easily in my top 5 rap albums of the year. Amazing debut
BAM, Black American Music
thought about something with American in it too but they lowkey moving international now, lots of connects with London artists going on

just found out she got so big because of TikTok
I guess that's just the way artists get big in 2020
imagine Slauson or MIKE blowing up on TikTok

I found out about her cause Ka shouted her out on Twitter tbh, but when I looked, I was surprised to see Deep End f***in blew up
But I could easily see someone like Slauson being popular on Tik Tik through some edgy e boys playing some s*** off of Crater Speak
