Might hop on tretinoin 🤔
Seems more effective and cheaper than AHA/BHA, and you can also apply it after moisturizer instead of applying, waiting and washing off
Hopped on tret
Applied a pea-sized amount after moisturizing at night and the results are not bad so far
Skin itched for a few minutes after application, my eyes got irritated a bit so might apply some Vaseline around the eye area to prevent it, and got a few stubborn whiteheads afterwards. No purge so might be set for life
Also to anyone wanting to start using tretinoin make sure to build a very good skincare routine beforehand and take good care of your moisture barrier and use sunscreen every day. It helped tremendously that I didn’t just hop on tret directly and that I took the time to learn more about skincare
Bought a facewash but that s*** projecting more than a fragrance for hours
Cant handle the scent
Imma just get the cerave cleanser instead
Edit: if someone got a vegan alternative for the cerave one lmk please.

Good post. Important to have a strong barrier before slapping on tret. Krave beauty barrier relief cream with a moisturizer can def help
Hey! It’s pretty simple these days, I have cut back on a couple of products recently.
I use actives like Tretinoin .5%, BHA 2%, Finacea 15% whenever I feel like I need them but my routine is mostly:
AM:
PM:
I still use other products like Stratia Liquid Gold, Youth To The People Glow Dream Oil, Melano CC & a couple of masks whenever I feel like a need an extra boost but they’re not being used daily like they were before.
It’s always best to keep it simple and listen to your skin, my biggest tip is to focus on hydration. Having a strong moisture barrier will do wonders for your skin.
On days you use the BHA 2% do you apply it before or after the Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion?

Always before. That goes for all actives, should be the first layer of product closest to the skin.
Think we need a whole selfcare thread not just skincare
word is bond. I mean we have diet and exercise.
EDIT: A section within LIFE. for HEALTH AND CARE. BEAUTY OVERRATED ANYWAY

Thanks. So the premium lotion always goes on right before a moisturizer?

Yes! It’s a common misconception but in Asian skincare, “lotion” is actually referred to as a form of essence so you still need to apply a moisturizer to lock everything prior in.
that urban skin rx bar has been insanely effective for my hyperpigmentation in just three days
was looking at old pics of myself and my skin was the clearest when i barely washed my face with water
now i gotta switch pillowcases every week. what went wrong
found this minimal aloe vera gel. if it sucks, gonna try a minimal hyaluronic acid next.
need a humectant
Wb aveeno non scented ?
idk i was shopping for squalane oil and it said u can apply after fresh tattoos

Yeah tretinoin is it
Acne scars fading at an incredibly rapid rate now too
What a magical product
Salicylic acid in the night plus sunscreen in the morning always are essentials for that
I’d recommend The Ordinary’s 2% Salicylic Acid Masque applied around two times a week for a few minutes, you can build up to around 10 minutes over time but be careful, it is a pretty strong product. Stronger to painful itches may actually be potential nerve damage so watch out for that
For sunscreen get as much protection as possible(SPF 50+ necessarily), the sun is the most harming thing to our skin and it can actually impact the effect of other products you are using. Look into asian sunscreen
Always patch test first(apply on upper forearm for a few minutes then clean out and see if you do well with the product
Legend. Been on it for only a week and a bit and seeing improvements
