Hey guys I’ve hopped on minoxidil for my beard lately but I wanna ask a few questions. Should I put the minoxidil a while after I put my face cream on at morning and night? Rn I just use this cerave face cleaner and put face cream on out how does minoxidil change this routine up? Ty
What SPF y'all be using?
I've been on that La Roche Posay for a while and that s*** is

vitamin c
rosehip
moisturiser
Vitamin C in the morning with sunscreen, then Lactic Acid at night >>>>
Can't use half of this thread otherwise my face breaks out. Tried out a routine this guy sente on ktt 1 and it set me back twice.
If you need something easy, just get curology and a natural toner.
Use the toner in the routine and it'll do wonders
I tried a bunch of different hair shampoo and beard oils but nothing's smoother than green soap bars
it's also goat for dry skin
speakin of dry skin, I found out that cold water is the best choice when you have to deal with itchy-red-dry skin conditions

Switching to Paulas choice BHA as my exfoliator next tho

This is a really interesting article on our microbiome and how soaps interfere with it.
Of course I wash my hands with soap and I still use soap on my uh, bits, when I shower. But I do basically only use a cloth and water on my face and moisturize with plain coconut oil. And my skin has never been better.
Anyway it's an interesting read, especially the part about sterility now that everyone is panicked over covid. I feel like growing up playing in the mud and dirt definitely aided my overall health and immune system.

coconut oil sounds lit
''James Hamblin has not used soap for five years.''
Your reaction is exactly what he talks about in the article tho lmfaooo. That instant recoil and facepalm.
Idk about you but if I just vigorously scrub my body with a cloth and use no soap, when I step out of the shower I smell like nothing. I just smell like me. My natural pheromones and microbiomes just doing their thing.
I already only use conditioner to wash my hair as shampoo is far too harsh. I may give only showering with water and a cloth for a week or two a test run. See if there's any merit to it. Have an open mind and everything u know.

I'll give this a try
Though I still gotta use deodorant
but like what if you hop in after workout and you smell like s***?

that's okay but no soap for FIVE years??
that's the exact opposite of an open mind
I can understand not using soap for a couple weeks or even a month
but for YEARS??? I dont get it.
Personaly I cant put on deodorant or after shave without thoroughly washing these areas

I think im gonna try to go au natural. I exercise after work so as long as I shower in the evening after that or before work in the morning I think I'll be fine.
They keep my office frozen with the a/c blasting so I'm coolin there.

You realize that you don't need soap to get clean though right? It acts as a catalyst to help lift dirt off the skin, but with pure exfoliation like scrubbing with a towel you can clean the skin of all dirt and sweat and s*** without completely nuking the natural oils that your microbiome feeds off of.
The point is that your body produces more smelly s*** than it needs because you keep destroying it with soap. If you just scrub but leave the oils then your body eventually reaches an equilibrium.
Did you even read the article bro?

No, I just read the first sentence
but yeah, I know soap isnt necessity and it just makes you smell better for a brief amount of time but I like smelling good
(not for others but cause it gives my confidence a boost when I go out)
anyways, do what feels right
How do you deal with seborrheic dermatitis? The cream I got isn't working that much and it is starting to get intense for some reason...

Man gtfo here I'm tryna have an informed discussion.
After what some of yall are saying bout soap i might start using wayyy less.
I already only use shampoo like once every 3 months, i just use a comb to get the dead hair out wash with water and thats it.
On another note tho i dont even know if a i got a routine. Right now im using some homemade face lotion that a friend of mine makes. She uses sheabutter, coca butta, coconut oil, mango butter, jojoba oil, castor oil, vitamin e and aloevera oil.
That s*** has my skin glowing and feels fresh as f***, i just dont know if u should start inlcuding somethng else? I usualy put some on after a shower

Damn every 3 months? I already do mine every other day and still feel like it's excessive

Yea, as long as you get all the dead hairs out and wash with water so your scalp can breathe you dont need to use shampoo all the time. I've done it for like 2 years or some now, and its always around 2-3 months between.
Guess it depends on individual hair too tho im not sure?
