You know I'm usually uk > us for bands but man zero part of me enjoys hearing British accents on rappers. Simz the only one pulling it off.
UK ‘rap’ that’s more nonchalance driven is much better, minimal dead pan suits the usual English cadence much better
Fair enough not gonna stop a Brit from slandering other Brits, uk has good rap though , thoughts on Florence Sinclair? BABYFATHER ?

I absolutely love UK accents on rap beats . I totally understand why people would be turned off, but that s*** is ear candy to me lol

Nonchalant UK rap is super boring to me
Cench, SL and to some extent Knucks yikes
I think the UK accent is pretty good for hyper rap
Theres a reason UK drill was so big

It's kind of ironic because The Kinks are my favorite band of all time and were known to be the first rock and roll band out there that weren't afraid to actually sound British and embrace parts of their own musical heritage

I’m thinking about jawnino & jon glacier & the like, who are probably influenced by dean blunt approach when he raps, ghost poet is one of those uk guys where like how raps as well & tricky is one of my favorite artists but he’s not a traditional mc

Not a brit but much appreciated
Never heard of them lol. I should have said Simz the only one I like from what I've heard (which is very little).
How have you not heard of dean blunt ? You’d have to completely ignore an entire alt scene for a decade plus lol
Skepta in 2025 is mad like why would anyone listen to his same songs over and over and over again for 15 years over different beats that also sounds similar
