There’s parts of skating im starting to really hate!!!
Say I want to Ollie over a rail/ledge
Instead of an open physics based thing where you jump and angle yourself over it
it feels like you’re just jumping and hoping you’re in a correct spot for the games physics algorithms to know what you’re doing and boost you over it. Like there’s invisible tiny paths that you want to jump into and then the game will take over and get you over the thing you wanna jump over.
And this stuff is all contingent on how close you Ollie to said thing. Feels kinda bad!!! It isn’t physics or skilled based, it’s just hoping you’re ollying within the proximity games pre-set animations. And this is with landing on a rail, jumping off a rap, jumping a gap, jumping a ledge
This is annoying me at times too
There are lots of times where I feel as though I should be able to Ollie onto something but the game randomly locks me into a nose stall, almost like I'm magnetized to a certain path it decided on.
It can make some of the missions a little tedious. Like even if you feel as though you are trying to do a thing that should be possible, if it's not the exact thing the game expects you to do it will freak out and either make you fall or do something else entirely
It's still a lot of fun though, and skating still mostly feels good and the controls are satisfying like always.
Another big criticism I have is their terrible designs. Most of the board art, stickers, etc that they create are insanely ugly/soulless looking. The branded items are the only things that look decent most of the time. When the item boxes you are supposed to want to unlock are filled with mostly their own terrible designs it kinda dulls the desire to earn points and unlock them.
They need to tweak some physics and hire decent artists.
Anyone know where some giant f*** off drops / ramps are?? Can’t find any huge spots, and the arcadey s*** is arguably the best part of skate now that Session is clearly the better street skating game

Level up and do the daily missions and they take you to the big gaps in natural way. And then when you have been to them, you’ll see that they have unlockable fast travel spots at them. Orangepeel’s reply to you shows them too though
I ain't play this yet but half of my shorts on YouTube are skate clips
Its fun when you get a mega ramp. Idk if just like skate man
lets hit a few spots tn, add me on ea: sadfacetony7
I forgot to do this fam my bad. Let me add you when I get the chance
they're giving away a digital shirt and 500 in game currency

Only people that went to the irl dime glory challenge received a code there on location.
If you signed up that's only for the reminder/newsletter...
In other words unless you went to the dime glory challenge irl you won't be getting anything.

I kinda fixed this! I put it on 0 minimum ollie pop in the settings and it feels way more like you're in control of where you're going and theres no magnetized paths (good way of describing how it feels)
the top minimum ollie amount kinda seems to break the game because if you're always ollying at full height, the game has to guess what you're trying to do. but if you turn that off, you can actually dial in how high you want to ollie and you then have way more control
So confused why they removed skitching because it’s “dangerous” but half of the game is hurling yourself off 70 story buildings.
I’m convinced not a single dev on this can do a kickflip either. How did I just nollie out of a front blunt
Not that the visuals ever really bothered me but nice to see them immediately try to improve visuals for those crying it

This is a good commentary that aligns with how I currently feel about the game
Very mixed
Spent more time with the Early Access version and thought this game was just "fine" during the pre-alpha
And I think it’s grown on me.. The visuals are a clear step up over the older games even though the art direction took a hit.
Gameplay-wise it feels so buttery smooth; it’s definitely not perfect, but I do believe Full Circle are on the right track with how they envisioned the next evolution of Skate to play like.
It’s a shame about how the whole Saudi thing cus I was actually gonna start spending some money on this just to compensate them for providing a solid Skate experience.
Game is truly ass but very addicting at the same time
