Objectively speaking, there’s no way y’all d*** eating an album like Scorpion and seriously thinking that s*** wasn’t bloated as f*** and painfully insecure with the “mob boss” persona because his kid got outed

Honestly Nevermind is just directionless dance music. Even if you listened to other afrohouse artists like Black Coffee or Robin M, you can see how much more dynamic and layered their music is compared to that album. Even Bonobos homage to afrohouse on his 2nd last record was just far more intricate musically. Also Drake is objectively a bad singer (not to say all his singing songs are bad but this album needed his voice to add a layer to the skeletal music) so his voice adds nothing. Passionfruit is better than anything on HN and most would agree with that (they’d only maybe pick the 21 collab song over it if they just don’t like drake on that energy)

Don’t even get me started on CLB

I could go on and on. There’s no merit to the music from views onward

HNVM slander you can argue a lot of music is just directionless in that case if you just aren't able to enjoy it for what it is. I think it's easily his most enjoyable and fun album and I think "directionless” is not a valid criticism for it at all
