Rewatched season 1 and that s*** brought me back to the good times. MCH was hooping

Script was pretty bad at a lot of times. Conversations and actions were way too forced, so that’s already a thing I disliked about this season. All the conversations between Dexter and Harrison about murdering in public spaces, that was just super sloppy. Also the decoration (snow on sidewalks) was super fake at times, just low budget stuff…

However, still, I loved to watch this season every Sunday— my motives were deeply rooted in nostalgia. Michael C. Hall is such a great character. I missed Deb so much, so her being kept “in mind” was really nice too.

This finale was so forced. Harrison did not get what he wanted, and would be better off on the run with Dexter. The only reason why this was done is because: (for whatever reason) they couldn’t let Michael C. Hall run multiple seasons, so they needed this to get the hype, and then potentially create a Harisson-spin off if the hype sustains. There’s no way they’d drop this Season out of nowhere, just to end it like this.

About the Harisson spin off, I bet it’s going to be super predictable. Something along the lines of: Harisson understanding that what he did was wrong, and him wanting to redeem himself by killing bad guys.

It’s cheap that they created this whole murder “bonding-time” with Harrison and Dexter, just to kill Dexter and let Harrison continue. Harrison was way too chill with murdering Kurt, and they really did effort to make him seem like he had this “dark passenger”-gene, they did all of that to end it on this plot. Wack.

Completely unrelated, but that sweater Dexter was wearing the last episode was super cozy, someone got ID on that?

Holy f***ing s*** what a god awful ending to one of my favorite shows of all time. I cannot believe this is how they came back lmao. I was really enjoying this season too smh

Just remembered that the show runner, Clyde Phillips, said this ending was gonna break the internet (Like on some super shocking, unexpected s*** i assume) Funny how it ended up being the most cliche, predicable way to go lol

why would Harrison kill Dexter? I can see if he wanted to stay and leave let Dexter go but

they show all those "innocent people" Dexter either killed or got killed and left out Lundy or w/e Peter Weller's characters name was (Quinn's PI buddy that was helping look into Dexter who Dexter kills in the van...dude was a jerk but far from a murderer or someone that fits the code)

This for real was such a terrible line. It just didn't fit Dexter at all. In the original series he doesn't act like he's god sent but just adhering to Harry's code

another example of them leaning too much into certain s*** and having to telegraph everything smh...I almost feel like this ending could have worked (at least worked better) had they started the show immediately from Harrison's POV and told the story through his eyes...instead we start off with Dexter, Harrison shows up, we stick with Dexter through most of the show, and then at the end are supposed to buy this "put me down for my own good nonsense" and turn against the guy we've been along for the ride with this whole time...at least if we were watching through Harrison's POV the entire time it'd be easier to look at Dexter in a more villainous, questionable light...I'd still probably find Harrison annoying but just feel like that storytelling set up would have worked better in a lot of ways

Michael C. Hall, who plays Morgan, predicts that the finale for “Dexter: New Blood” will spark a similarly strong response. The episode not only brings a definitive close to Morgan’s vigilante campaign — it also depicts the end of Dexter Morgan.

“Some people will have predicted it, and some will be shocked by it,” the actor said in a Zoom interview last week. “Some people will accept it, some people will reject it. I think it will be difficult for people to grapple with his fate given that he is someone that they have spent a lot of time with and have a lot of affection for — at least in some cases.”

While the ending may be jarring for many fans, Hall is pleased: “The way the season concludes is one that resonates with me. It feels justifiable. As upsetting as it may be, I hope audiences will appreciate the resonance of Dexter dying this way at the hands of his son.”

He added, “People moaned about an ending that was admittedly open-ended and without any sense of closure. He flashed a Dexter-like smile: “I guess you have to be careful what you wish for.”

These clown ass niggas did the impossible and actually made a worse finale than the original. What a waste of time this season was

Harrison decides to have a f***ing EPIPHANY for the fucing 15th time in one season, he rehashes all the f***ing headache and she he's been through THEN decides nah I can't let you go I gotta kill you

A proper ending was needed and to SOME degree they did that but everything I said just ruins it.

DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER SERIES WITH HARRISON F*** DUDE
