    Hey there,

I can understand how tough the situation must be for you and your family. It's unfortunate that your apartment's water system is acting up, and I hope the landlord resolves the issue soon. As for using new homes under construction to shower, I'm not a legal expert, but I can offer some insights.

While I can empathize with the need for hygiene and basic necessities, it's essential to be cautious in such situations. Entering someone else's property without permission, even if the doors are left unlocked, may be considered trespassing in some places. The fact that you're not breaking in may provide some distinction, but it's still important to be aware of potential legal implications.

If possible, it might be worth reaching out to the contractors or relevant authorities to discuss your situation openly and honestly. They might be more understanding of your circumstances and could offer alternative solutions or temporary assistance while you wait for your hot water to be fixed.

Remember, laws and regulations vary by location, so it's crucial to seek advice from a legal expert or local authorities to get a clear understanding of the situation in your specific area.

I genuinely hope things improve for you and your family soon. If there's anything else I can assist you with or if you need more advice, feel free to ask. Take care!

I’m not white…. Which could make the ramifications of being caught inside a home like this potentially worse

You’re clearly not black either because the second or third time a colored person did this the police would have been called

I understand ya gotta stay clean but it's better to find alternatives. Someone may see you coming out and possibly think that you're stealing and call the cops

That’s what I’m afraid of… my mom has been washing her hair in the sinks and getting too comfortable. I prefer to get in and right out and now she has started going into the homes during the day.

Cops haven’t been called because all of the homes are vacant in the area and locked.

There’s been a few times when people drove by…few days ago there was a family who was having car issues and they parked right beside our cars and we got scared.

Then there was another time some guy was recording us from his bedroom window (more luxury neighborhood) and we stopped going over there

Some guy was recording us one time at a different neighborhood so people are definitely on alert it’s just my mom doesn’t want to shower in cold water. She also doesn’t want to use the washing machine and dryer at our unit.
