LOL. It definitely still is cold in Dallas and they freeze a lot more.
Never been. Thought Texas was hot
Its interesting how Texas became a financial powerhouse
I wanna leave soon but this job market is crazy
It’s THE reason I’m here. My old friends in Minneapolis just job hop and keep getting promotions every few years, because of how many financial jobs exist out there.
Never been. Thought Texas was hot
I went in Dec to watch a Cowboys game and it was 12F.
Visiting from Vegas going into the coldest weather I’d experienced in my life was crazy. And I still wanted to move there.
Dallas is Lit, especially if you're in Dallas proper and not a suburb like Plano or Forth Worth. I'd do it. Look into a neighborhood called Deep Ellum. It has like a Williamsburg type feel.
🤭
Niggas be moving from vibing cities to Texas just for no income tax. When you buy a house you’re going to understand that either way they going to get their money.
Investment research
I follow a specific sector/industry of companies and publish reports/content on them
Should I invest in nvidia
A pro is no more winters
yea but the summers are terrible there
my brother lives jus outside dallas and he says everyday it’s 110+ imo it’s like the winter - you can’t go outside
Your money will go farther and you can get a decent house and land.
Texas
Should I invest in nvidia
I cover consumer products and service companies (food/apparel/services)
Not tech stocks like that
Born and raised in Dallas and still live here. Although our political leaders are scum, texas as a state is goated
How old are you?
25
One thing to note with TX, their real estate taxes are high. And with property values increasing it’s something to pay attention to.
Hadn’t known that
I’m from dallas (have since moved but) u would be fine
what areas are you looking at
No cool
Figured downturn cause I know nothing about the neighborhoods rn and want a nice view and amenities
idk why everyone on this website thinks people have to live in new york and go out every weekend/night to have a fulfilling and enjoyable life
as someone who has lived in towns of 1200 to decent sized cities (memphis) to literal metropolis, just think about what you do now (for fun/free time/ect) and how much that would change when you move to dallas. if you can feasibly continue to enjoy your free time/hobbies in dallas the same you do in NYC i don't see why you shouldn't take the move and save some money
