Dude it’s no use. I’ve been parroting all my talking points under every comment that pisses me off and they never change their mind. These people are just set in their ways.

My own mother called me yesterday to tell me my childhood friend passed away. Then proceeds to tell me about this Facebook she saw where some teacher was laying into Kirk and his family and she got fired from the school board. explained to her why he’s a bad person and shouldn’t get all this mourning and praise that he’s getting and when I asked her if she’s ok with all those things that he said, she reverts to her ol’ reliable: “you have your views and I have mine” “I don’t want to talk about this anymore with you” “I’m going to hang up on you”

She won’t explain her point of view to me and it’s so heartbreaking to see my own mother become something I hate.
