Dam, hearing a lot of complaints about the dungeon design, and looking at some of the gameplay online the dungeons do seem pretty uninspiring

Yeah, a good chunk of the reviews are complaining about the dungeon design. A bit disappointing to hear. Though I will say, if there's no puzzles, it's a W for me. F***ing hate puzzles/warp mechanics in SMT games so much. Will take a linear dungeon over that any day

I went ahead and took a look at the 3/10 reviews cause they are usually hilarious but the review actually seemed pretty solid. Went back and looked at his other reviews and he gave Endwalker a 10, Xenoblade a 9.5 and SMTV a 9/10 so a 3/10 from someone that seems to like jrpgs is pretty wild

Wondering if I should still get this on release or if I should continue going through the xenoblades and just add this to the backlog

I thought the same thing lol. Second I saw those games having really good scores, I just thought "fuck"

I do have some Gamestop credit, so I can basically get the game without spending money out of pocket, but these reviews definitely have me a bit more hesitant.

Might just do the same but continue on playing the Trails series lol. Starting Xenoblade def ain't a bad move

Might end up waiting a bit to see what the user consensus seems to be, but I'm sure I'll enjoy my playthrough of it.

If I wasn't going through Xenoblades I would get this day 1, other than that imma have to decide whether I wanna go through trials or start up Soul Hackers 2 after I been wanting to get into trials for a while now

i do need to finish XC3 though

So I’ve been wondering, does Atlus consider Persona their “Premier” franchise? Like the one they put EVERYTHING into (at least mainline title wise).

Because I always feel like their other JRPGs have noticeable cut corners and things, whereabouts Persona seems to be where they kind of go all out from top to bottom, like their most AAA-esque title.

Guess it depends on if you wanna dig into a crazy long series or not. The Trails games can be pretty lengthy, though I've just been using the turbo features and just trying to read more of the story so my playtimes for the first two Sky games were like 20-25 hours, whereas it seems like they're 40-50+ for a lot of other people

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with em. If they get even better than this, I'm gonna be real happy lol. I really wanna play the 3rd Sky game, but I'm telling myself to wait a bit

    Music is heat too

I think they straight up do paid reviews or something.

Also, do we know when the review embargo for this is up?

Damn thats ass. Luckily with how stingy atlus are they havent paid anything

I think they are up. here is a link with a compilation of reviews

That warp puzzle in Soul Hackers where u where in like a volcan map with warp zones and there was some weird dudes that gave u the hints talking backawards or something else

Also the haunted mansion part, and the grass laberything, that last one was ASS

I think it isnt that big of a deal tbh

I think is like Soul Hackers 1 where its just turn based and not press turn. So you really cant be exploited for your weakness, you only take the extra damage

Was kinda thinking about Tartarus when I saw all the reviews talking about dungeon design lol. If I can suffer through that slog and still call P3 one of my all time favorite games, I'm sure SH2 will be fine

Played the game earlier this month, don’t expect an SMTV quality joint. In fact I’d save my money if you’re a hardcore SMT fan.
