Man I bought a switch only to play smtv, got me questioning my purchase if switch games just came out on emulators and run at 4k60 how does nintendo allow this

They can't do much about it really. Emulators arent illegal, its not possible to prevent early copies from being sent out, and they cant take action on people hacking their switch to dump roms. The most they can do is shut off rom sites but even then once one dies 2 are born so its impossible to solve that issue. The solution would be to release hardware on par with ps5, xsx but they wont completely change their business strategy for a couple thousand pirates and a lot of people who do emulate switch games have a switch and the game itself so its not hurting them much

Yeah makes sense, not gonna cancel my order or anything and im still gonna buy games just to support the devs. Might just be playing this primarily on pc depending on how the emulator holds up tho

Cant blame you lol, ill personally play it on switch cause i prefer portability over better graphics especially for long ass jrpgs

With graphics i meant performance and resolution yeah, and game doesnt run bad enough to ruin the experience, at least that's what basically all reviewers said. And i value portability a lot, that's how i play mainly these days

think as long as you have a decent gpu you can prob run it. granted, i'm on a 2080 super so i don't have any issues, but i saw ppl with 1070s posting that they were able to run it.

I think im f***ed, i have a laptot and i dont know about GPU but it says 3,9 GB

i'm sure there's gonna be more info on "requirements" to emulate it over the coming days since more people with different pc specs will try it out. fortunately, it's not like the switch games are too hard to emulate, so you could luck out. if i see anything, i'll let you know
