EDIT:

Its so frustrating that persona fans want smt to be persona so bad when there is no need. Persona and smt are two different franchises with only few similarities, why should smt try to be persona when persona already exists just judge the game for what it is not what it isnt ffs. Imagine someone getting into mario with mario kart 8 and when reviewing mario odyssey saying that Mario odyssey should've had rideable karts and Blue shells

Yikes at the edit that reads like a s***post lmaooo
Other previews are really positive but have only played the first few hours, atlus being mad secretive like with persona 5, so there's not really anything new.

This dude tho played 10 hours and has tons of more info (with spoilers obviously) so if you want to know more about the game before s*** goes down there y'all have it (dont watch if you dont want to get spoiled)

F*** gaming journalism
Bruh Persona is a spin off with a focus on school elements while the real series is more dark and challenging. How can you not know that as a game journalist

Someone did and his video is now unlisted lmao, you might find some of the info gathered from that video somewhere tho, maybe in the megaten subreddit. That video had spoilers tho so if you want to go completely blind then dont go look for it

gonna wait and see how i'm feeling before looking into it too much
after all, guess it does come out in two and a half weeks, somehow
let the hype die down cause the constant showcasing became too much but these previews bringing back the hype

It’s scares me honestly because the reality is persona is the bigger series and the fan base could definitely influence future SMT titles to be more Persona like just for sales purposes

You know what, i felt the same a year ago, that they would lean more into a more social defined smt game, but after seeing the various trailers and the previews, im confident they're not trying to pander to persona fans by altering the spirit of the franchise.
The only things they're doing are adding an easier difficulty for newcomers and overall a better presentation in terms of budget and scope compared to smt IV and apocalypse (and also choosing a more conventional anime aesthetic when designing some of the key characters), and all of these dont necessarily harm the tone smt games go for. Ive seen more comparisons to nocturne than persona 5 for this game so that makes it clear to me.
What im most worried about is actually persona. Will persona 6 be a safe persona 5: 2 with different characters or an evolution of a stellar jrpg that could potentially risk losing some of its fanbase?
