You can jump right in at 5. You can start anywhere besides a game that is a sequel of a spin-off or a sequel to a specific mainline game IIRC (digital Devil saga 2 or SMT 4: Apocalypse for example)

Although tbh starting at 5 might be bad cuz the quality of life will be insanely higher than some of the older games and it might make going back harder but conversely the older games you might not be able to get into but 5 would be an easy way to get into the series

SMT 5 seems to be drawing a lot of inspiration from SMT 3 as well

Its the ending where the world gets recreated and everything is back to normal

i think that ending is probably my favorite tbh.

online demon trading seems pretty realistic. i know smt iv had the street pass stuff, so i think that'd make a lot of sense.

what other demons were you using in your party prior to solo'ing it?

Titania (magic damage dealer)
Daisoujou (healer)
Dionysus (buffer)

I had 4x def, evasion, attack going into the last phase and then Daisoujou instantly gets one shot by Infinite Light.

Basically for like the last hour of the fight what I did was revive Daisoujou, let Daisoujou heal my team and then Daisoujou would die the following turn because the boss just spammed infinite Light for like 20 turns.

Dionysus somehow got one shot later on too and I think that my character and Titania were actually the only characters that could survive Infinite Light even with 4x def.

After a while I got into a loop where instead of letting Daisoujou die I would wait for Infinite Light to cast. Summon Daisoujou and have him heal mc and Titania and then dismiss him so that he doesn't die the next turn.

Eventually Titania died so I couldnt summon Daisoujou anymore since I only had 1 turn.

I realise now that this fight could have just been a lot easier if I just had someone on my team with war cry though

was gonna ask if you were using daisoujou because of how busted he is. think i had about the same experience, since he just kept getting clapped as soon as i res'd him.

I don’t feel like tackling my backlog right now though so SMT3 probably gonna remain as my main single player game until the new Switch comes out then imma play fire emblem till SMTV

I think I can pick up from one of my save files before the tower and get the true demon ending before starting over and seeing the other endings

though at least you've got a save. i couldn't imagine starting all over again. i'd personally just do TDE then just watch the others.
