I cant get over roaming demons with accurate sizes its mind blowing to me. Those comically large abaddon and surt are a joy to see

man some of these oni fights at the ikebukuro tunnel kinda brutal, think its the first wall I encountered in the game

Made me realise im kinda missing buffs in my composition though. When I come back with magic attack up its over

What’s your team like?

my MC a physical fighter, with one good magic spell ( Tornado/Wind Cutter are pretty good )

2nd Demon is pure magic and buffs

3rd a Healer with dekaja/dekunda

4th physical demon with War Cry and Fog Breath ( i had that on my mc at first but both worked )

I don't have like a set composition right now. My MC is a physical with fog breath though so my strategy for pretty much every fight is to just open up with fog breath twice so the boss has -4x evasion then just dps it down

I also have a demon with just medium fire, party heal and mana refill so I pretty much have unlimited mana for magic casts, other demon was a physical, last demon I just threw random s*** on there but it was pretty much a physical with a few elemental skills to target weakness.

This is the first time the strat didn't work because the boss has really high physical resist and I actually started to not even bother having that many buffs on my other demons since -4x evasion was so broken.

Boss im fighting also removed my debuffs and I decided not to carry evasion up for my party. Basically I started slackin on my party comp and got humbled

I think i remember the fight youre talking about, makaja is your friend. Honestly game can be broken pretty early by getting getting Focus and Divine Shot/Iron claw and some good magic/buff debuff demons. Focus+High Physical damage skill/Freikugel+Endure+Pierce is so f***ing good nothing can touch you at that point, shame you can only get Pierce and Freikugel at the end of the game.

Trying to finally finish IV after owning it since launch. I got up to the route split all those years ago but stopped there. The negotiations are frustratingly random, difficulty is all over the place, and there are way too many random encounters. Still love it for the atmosphere though.
