I'll say this: 4chan isn't a hub for the alt-right. It just gets notoriety for that because thats where those dudes flock because they can get their opinions off with no repercussions. In reality, 4chan has folks all over the political spectrum getting their opinions off. Because of the anonymity people reveal the ugliest parts of themselves because A. no one knows who they are and B. the thread will just get rid of itself eventually. Truthfully 4chan is just a place to post anything from meaningless bullshit to your deepest secrets and get other randoms to interact. It's an interesting way to look at the human condition imo
