It’s head and shoulders better than GNX, anyone who thinks GNX is better is biased, there’s just no way around that.
If Iceman is overlong, GNX has the opposite issue and feels like an EP or side project more than a complete work

They’re both good projects by industry vets deep into their careers, it’s not hard to appreciate both for what they are. One is a confident quick victory lap and the other is a guy proving he’s still got it. Different vibes, both impressive

Sure but as a fan of both I can easily say which is better. For me Iceman is a true satisfying full length but GNX is more a detour project that leaves me wanting more. I would compare GNX more to Honestly Nevermind or Maid of Honour or Habibti. It’s just not as substantial as Iceman or any of Kendrick’s other works

Sure but as a fan of both I can easily say which is better. For me Iceman is a true satisfying full length but GNX is more a detour project that leaves me wanting more. I would compare GNX more to Honestly Nevermind or Maid of Honour or Habibti. It’s just not as substantial as Iceman or any of Kendrick’s other works
Is it that hard for you to see why a stan on the other side might prefer it? It’s straight rap with no filler, idk why you’d compare to it the dance/R&B projects & not Iceman … if a comparison is even appropriate

I would compare it in that way because it’s more of a self contained side project than an actual album to me

If Kendrick made Shabang the same people making hickory d***ory dock memes would praise it as groundbreaking and say it helped them through their therapy journey. We gotta be honest at some point. Identity is more important to these people than music
