GKMC and DAMN were pretty great for what they were but some of us just don’t like artsy Kendrick and no amount of essays and thesis statements is gonna change the music and how it sounds.
Okay now apply that level of critical thinking to this new Drake song then ask yourself why you're bothered to Kendrick stans are trolling in here

TheWordSoonI really hate to say it.. but Drake really does just need to lay low until he’s really ready to give his all in the music and not just push s*** because he can. If it’s effortless then it isn’t genuine and if it isn’t genuine, it doesn't last.
I do agree with this though
Drake needs to make some summer vibes that can be enjoyed universally again. VIEWS era he was everywhere and the general public loved him. Him hopping on this Sexyy Red song that has a bit of a niche audience isn’t gonna help him get back in the good graces with people.
I f***ing hate to admit it because Drake is the better artist and rapper, but Kendrick won in the court of public opinion and for the first time in years, it’s not cool to like Drake.

It’s tough for Drake here because in his last big showdown with Pusha T, he could just scoff and keep making hits while Pusha T relied on his legacy in Clipse and Kanye to keep him afloat.
But Kendrick having the most popular song in the beef? Massive blow. Drake is supposed to be the one who makes the hits and runs laps around the oops. He’s been struggling.

It’s not a good sign though. Cole was on one hell of a feature run up until the apology. Then the feature on WSDTY was ok and this one was awful.
