thought dump:
mark and his situation is important as f\*\*\* to lumon.
i’m kinda boss baby 2-ing this but i’m getting elliot from mr robot vibes with how important he is to everyone and how half the characters are fawning over him.
cobel probably would be down for that threesome ngl. outie helly def wants to f***.
and milchick would 100x his salary and suck his d*** while the board listened if that’s what it would take to get him back..
helena seems like she’s more of a prisoner than her innie. i almost thought it could be helly r even with the switch fumble and everything but skimmed through ep 1 again and nah. I think some of that jealousy is real
when she finds out mark knows about gemma she pauses for way too long.
we now know how important the mark/miss casey situation is to everyone including her. look at her face when he says he’s going to try to f*** up something so important

The question is why are the begging Mark back basically and saying they need him?

idk. thats for reddit to theorize about until there’s something more concrete
i don’t think |helena is driven entirely by whatever the mysterious important mission is though. see that laugh when she watches the video… she wants that s***. she probably doesn’t wanna be CEO
she calls out all the bullshit from the jump as a newborn innie. she’s rebellious by nature… also at least one or two scenes where you see her drawing and she’s pretty good. maybe a creative type/black sheep idk

why isn’t mark saying anything to his sister about the hole petey thing from s1 too? they haven’t brought that up once yet
why isn’t mark saying anything to his sister about the hole petey thing from s1 too? they haven’t brought that up once yet
he tried to for sure. like in one of the episodes in s1 hes like “I think they might be up to something” but gets interrupted
take a look at the title of the next episode though, I’m sure we’ll see a lot of dialogue with them
The only times they could’ve talked like that were the birthing cabin, and the book launch i think.
pretty sure it all takes place in a pretty short timeframe
side note - glad they didn’t just act like the characters would know he was referring to gemma with “she’s alive”. like that would be insane - if they all assumed and agreed it was clearly about Gemma pretty sure it would feel like lazy writing
I stopped going on reddit for theories when they correctly guessed the whole story for season 2 of mr robot
anyway what they saying on reddit?
that cobels daughter was severed, that Irving is planning to reintegrate, that helena planned to get w mark
mark is very important for “cold harbor
personally think there is some level of human social engineering going on with mark in which they are testing something, and whatever that is they’re testing relates to losing a wife and then bringing her back to life or something. idk lmao it can be anything but we def need to learn more about the day Gemma died because the way the sister describes it sounds like it should be shut and closed
lowkey feel bad for Dan Erickson. I get why they have Stiller at the forefront of everything media wise since he’s a much bigger name but it makes everyone incorrectly assume that he created the show
Nah man do not feel bad lol this man went from uber driving to having one of the best tv shows of all time. Or even being hyperbolic. I’m sure Dan is A-Okay with everything and probably just happy to see this show manifest. At the end of the episodes they do a great job with him leading the conversation about each episode which is great.

I think it’s human cloning
Fire episode! Scale, scope, and stakes keep getting bigger and more intriguing. Really loved it.

That just seems like predictable writing lol
The question is why are the begging Mark back basically and saying they need him?
This seems like a question that Will answered this season and not right away. They said he’s important for a specific project they’re doing so I’m sure it’ll be answered sooner rather than never at all. Dan is an excellent writer with a great team behind him, I don’t think they’ll fumble that
What if Helena made the decision completely on her own accord to go in there as herself? Strictly to feel what it’s like to be Helly, and to be treated like she saw Helly was treated by her innie friends. Lumen, at this point, can see everything that is happening on the severed floor anyway, so there’s not much of a reason for them to send a spy in my opinion. Helena wanting to feel connection, that’s a reason I can buy
Spoiler?

The way she ran the clip back of Helly and Mark kissing and her facial expression was pretty obvious that Helena is yearning for love/connection like that
and with how cold they have portrayed her father as, could be possibly she simply never gotten even a hug before
