Yeah way too much goofy writing in the second half of this season. Really brings it down for me imo. Like bro how is there not a single severed security guard in this b**** but yall got a whole goddam marching band and goat herders. Ridiculous
It’s a job at the end of the day not a prison.
A knight especially a woman who's rose the ranks and garnered respect throughout the show is quite different from a goat herder employee whooping a 6'5 300 pound mans ass
That same man who was just swinging mark into walls like he's a dbz character
Like in real life nobody is saying Brienne is beating the Hound in a fist fight
Good thing this isn’t real life

Great reasoning thank you very much
I have loved this song basically my entire life

Whaaaaaaaaaaatsssss the differenceeeeeee ??
The Cobel special was even more of a waste after knowing how the last episode will be imo. It will probably make sense in season 3 but then they could have added it into season 3 and not now.
BUT the last episode was really interesting and perfect on an emotional level. It makes you think about how Outies treat and think about Innies. They are nothing more than NPCs to them and they ignore the fact that they have feelings and their own thoughts. Why should they give their life for people they don’t know and memories they don’t have? It’s really interesting and philosophical.
The thing is the innies ARE NPCs regardless of what they do down there.
The worst thing the company done was go on the outside into the Forrest. In no way does that help anyone.
Seeing as they know cold harbour is a success what would even be the point of keeping the innies alive anymore? The dad hates outtie Helena and Mark has fully served his purpose. Dylan does absolutely nothing for them anyway 😂
Can literally kill all three and never speak of it again. Even the people on the outside can’t do anything apart from complain.

Yeah but the father sees KIER in Innielena.

They’re gonna need a real good explanation as to why Lumon can’t just turn off all their chips to stop the Innie Rebellion. I’m genuinely confused as to how the Innies have any leverage in this conflict whatsoever now that Cold Harbor is complete
Interesting interview about Season 2 that Dan Erickson just did:
thewrap.com/severance-season-2-finale-dan-erickson-interview
He mentions that the true intentions of Cold Harbor were deliberately left up to interpretation and not fully revealed yet. This confirms that we still do not know exactly what Cold Harbor is, and I think that’s a miss after spending the entire season building up that plot point

Umm....It wasn't a success. Mark's outie interrupted the crucial part, told Gemma's innie corrupting info, and since she fled they can't extract Gemma's chip which was the point. They can't a***yze any of the data they did from the 25 rooms over 2 years.
If Mark S didn't cooperate with his outie at all cold harbor is completed and MDR and Gemma are done. If he fully cooperates he's done and never sees Helly again cus Mark wouldn't go back to work. Mark S chose to help only to a certain point which buys the innies time.
Also there's no getting rid of Helena. Jame sees Kier in Helly R. She's gonna be propped as the heir he thought Helena would be, which also helps the innies survival
The only success was Mark not leaving which may prove something to Lumon but you can't extract the data they wanted from that
I liked the ending but I kinda am let down by Mark’s innie flipping
I guess that’s the “twist” of the season, but it felt a bit half baked to me personally. not until the final episode he starts to think about the repercussions of being terminated essentially? idkkkk. i just wish they planted his seeds of dissent earlier in the season. came outta nowhere imo.
like sure he’s kinda been conflicted about his love and wanting a love, but idk. I didn’t feel they displayed innie mark having second thoughts about it all well enough throughout the season for that to be the finale twist

Facts. It's a great plot point but it really feels like it comes out of nowhere in the finale.

He had no clue his death was imminent

They showed us what Cold Harbor is and we know what its testing, but we can't yet know Lumon's end result because they never got the chip and Mark corrupted the test. We basically know as much as we can
Cold Harbor is a test to see if trauma from the outside bleeds on to a new innie, which is different from the tests in the Gemma episode. We already came to that conclusion here and Erickson said it himself. What comes next is understanding Lumon's deliverable from the entire testing floor the creation of 25 seperate innies in one person
One thing that I think is noteworthy is that in all the other rooms we’ve seen the question is, will the suffering carry over from the room to the outside? Will Gemma feel the emotional effects of having been tortured by a dentist for two hours? The fear of being on an airplane in horrible turbulence, will it carry outside? This is the first time that we’ve seen the opposite where there is this question of will her pain from the outside carry into this room, into this new innie version of her? What exactly that means and why that’s important to Lumon is something we still don’t quite know yet as viewers. But that’s the main thing that differentiates that room.

Right, but the why for Cold Harbor is just as important as the "what" (and the "what" in this case isn't even some grand reveal either)

they could have done a better job "planting the seeds" before the finale, but i think they do some of it and its jut not as "in your face" as we would like/expect.
innie Mark is his own person
its been like 3 weeks since iMark lost his best friend, maybe 2 weeks since he's had his first kiss, and maybe a week removed from having s***for the first time (where he was essentially sexually assaulted). He finds out that his first love shares a body with an Eagan, but is still in love with Helly.
This is a guy who's essentially a teenager, going through these "firsts" and realizing that he's a part of something bigger within Lumon.
He was betrayed by Lumon, betrayed by Helly, and then betrayed by his own outtie self.
I think in the situation he did what was best for him. He goes out that door and he's dead, likely forever. He gets Gemma out to safety, but he still wants to live for himself, even if that life is only going to last another 20 minutes.

Sexually assaulted? He entered her tent and hit on her wtf are you talking about lmao

Helena was lying about her identity lmao, that’s definitely sexual assault
It’s essentially a twin having s***with their twin’s partner and telling them it’s the other person
