i think maybe the essentials of the episode coulda been condensed and merged into a previous one but you're skipping pretty big reasons why she left to do that.

She felt threatened by Helena after she realized they wouldn't rehire her and then went home for sensitive documents Lumon doesn't know exists as future leverage

They were gonna rehire her just not to severed floor and cuz of her obsession with mark and ego she pushed her luck

Also that scene could have easily been placed in an earlier spot

Because “You can understand the finale without watching any of season 2” is a stupid criticism.

Because complaining about a lack of advancement in the plot (when we’ve gotten tons of it) is f***ing stupid.

There are real, legitimate problems with this season. They completely drop the ball with Irving after episode 6, Dylan’s arc makes no f***ing sense after like the first meeting with Gretchen, I don’t particularly like the p****footing that they’re doing with Milchick… a lot to complain about!

But people are instead focusing in on stupid things to complain about and I don’t like it!

How is complaining about the lack of advancement in the plot a stupid criticism? This is a narrative mystery television show. Yes, the cinematography is breathtaking, the acting is world class, and the directing is top tier, but people are primarily here for the story and the characters and to see the mystery unfold. We are forgetting that television at its core is a writers’ medium.

How is it a stupid criticism to say that it’s concerning that someone who only watched Season 1 could watch the Season 2 finale and not miss a beat? It makes it seem like the majority of Season 2 was unnecessary if you could just jump right in at the end and still be cognizant of what’s going on.

All of the criticisms you mentioned are valid as well, but my own main issues with this season is that it felt like it was spinning its wheels for most of it rather than moving the story forward in any tangible way.

Even with my criticisms of the season, I still think overall it was a solid 6-7/10 and better than most shows currently airing

The Cobel special was even more of a waste after knowing how the last episode will be imo. It will probably make sense in season 3 but then they could have added it into season 3 and not now.

BUT the last episode was really interesting and perfect on an emotional level. It makes you think about how Outies treat and think about Innies. They are nothing more than NPCs to them and they ignore the fact that they have feelings and their own thoughts. Why should they give their life for people they don’t know and memories they don’t have? It’s really interesting and philosophical.

Okay, the finale was fine, but I still really have my issues with the szn.

First question: Maybe I missed it, but didn’t this guy go through reintegration and have his chip removed? How is he still able to turn into his innie?

Two: We just finished Season 2, and I still don’t think I have a clear answer on what Cold Harbor even is. Why aren’t innie or outie Mark, or even Devon, asking Cobel what it is exactly? I kept thinking, okay, maybe we’ll get an answer once it’s at 100%, but nope—they just watch her disassemble some furniture.

Three: Not as important, but I feel like some characters really had no purpose. Miss Huang, Devon’s husband (almost forgot about him). Milchick felt like he was building toward an arc, but by the end of the season, it seems like that’s being saved for S3. Irving was crucial for the half and then bye. Christopher walken

This show reminds me a bit of Westworld—great Season 1 and even 2, but their world was so complex that you’d always finish a season with more questions than answers.

Don't rob LOST of its worst offender status. Watching live every season was grueling with the questions. I get vibes here to that degree at times.

Lost is the second best show among the 4 you mentioned.

Maybe 2nd most influential but not 2nd best. Not even close due to the last 2 seasons

A cool first season, a divisive second season, a top 10 OAT third season and a best season of television ever fourth season.

    I think creepy doctor man helped save Gemma;

Irv somehow knows what the hallway to the testing floor elevator looks like. Very few people have seen that hallway in person, and Irving isn't one of them. So why does he paint a hallway he's never seen each night while drinking coffee and playing loud music to stay awake?

Altering brain wave activity plays a role in reintegration (S2), and the effects of sleep (on brain waves?) can allow memories to pass between innie/outie. (shown in S1 when he dozes off, and in S2 during the ORTBO).

After his innie sees the paintings (due to the OTC), he calls someone and tells them his innie "got the message" — which I assume is the image of the elevator to the testing floor.

Even if Irv was personally investigating Lumon for a while, it's unlikely he'd have have found out so much sensitive information, including that whole list of severed employees.

Given all of the above and the context of that call, I assume the person on the other end of the line is a Lumon employee (or former employee) working with him to on this.

Dr Mauer has spent years, day after day, working closely with Gemma, and his creepy infuation with her seems like enough of a motive to potentially sabotage the entire project to free her. (And ofc he would have access to a lot of sensitive information).

And honestly, what other purpose could an image of the testing floor elevator realistically have besides pointing to Gemma?

Probably sounds wild and I might not be 100%, but this seems to fits with everything we know so far while answering a bunch of unanswered questions. (And gives more purpose to Dr Mauer's obsession with Gemma in the story)

  • Mar 23, 2025

And pretty much a certainty that Helly R is the next CEO of Lumon, and Mark will become permanent OTC for now.

  • Mar 23, 2025

s2 of robot was good even if a lot of people say it's slow.. but idk. could be misremembering but s1/s3 finales both resolved a lot, whereas s2 finale just left us with more questions and no answers

this could have been a series finale if there weren't a bunch of loose ends to tie up. idk how tf they could make this last 6 seasons though (they said 4 to 6) unless there's way more to this than we realize — and 2 seasons deep they gotta be careful.
