I’m not sure I’m feelin the expansion of the Severance world. It feels shoehorned in just to guarantee more plot points for the future so AppleTV gets more content.

The first season was so good because the story was focused. This second season is scattered and stuffed with ~more quirky secretive stuff~

i fundamentally disagree with this - i don't think severance is very cynical in how it alludes to a wider 'world'. it is vague but not in a breadcrumb-y 'now you all need to theorise about this' sort of way. much of this stuff will never be touched again because, ultimately, the details are not important. i would compare it favourably to something like idk westworld where they contrive to make everything a mystery that can be unpacked and discussed by fans.
