A. Outside their own perspectives and tastes
B. Gauge what makes something hot how hot it is
C. Asses the skillet of an artist in a dif way other than “makes good music good at performing” etc
D. The interests of the artist themselves and what it’s like to interact with them
E. Assessing them as a brand comparing them to what their years of experience has seen beforeMost fans esp as u see on ktt aren’t really capable of doing this well, good scouters usually are determined to have that plus business sense and connections to get to where they are

Oct 28, 2025DaeHanNot discrediting A&R’s and execs, but on some occasions, I feel like (real) fans have more insights as to what an artist’s strengths and weaknesses are and what would make a good project.
Even though KTT doesn’t represent the entire internet, I honesty think the knowledge that this platform has a whole is more beneficial than AR’s who don’t really tap in like we do.
You’re really telling me we couldn’t have Wayne at least 2-3 more classics by now? Or even Drake an undeniable classic?
I feel like at lot of the people they (not just Drake and Wayne, but a lot of artists) have around them aren’t really qualified to “produce” projects. They’re too close to it.
I just think that fans need more of a direct impact on the product that WE are consuming.
How we do that? I don’t know. But the ideas and passion I see on here would only benefit the artist.
Hmm, while this is mutually exclusive since KTT does this, but I think they have a good ear for what sound marketable for the general audience/being ahead of the curve on hits
Exec Producer is just a title to make someone feel important though 100%
