wish Bobby Bacala had a part
I thought it was to Charles, dude who wrote the book and got his confessions about Hoffa
i feel like no one should even make mafia epics anymore after this. This was the perfect end to the genre.
Without spoiling specifics its clear that moreso than any other mob movie ever released Scorsese wanted to make it clear as possible to the audience knows that he is not glorifying the mob lifestyle which I'm sure has been an annoying criticism he's constantly heard.
Genre been dead for a min

@Bad_Finger_Boogie
am i da only one who didnt understand anything that happenend and i dont get how it was sad
was this based on a true story ?
The people in the movie are all real.
The actual events depicted were from Frank Sheeran’s confession to Charles Brandt near the very end of his life.
The actual way Hoffa was killed has been the subject of many many discussions and conspiracies therefore no one really knows what exactly happened. I’m sure there’s someone alive who knows but whether or not they can or will provide proof is absolute zero so we’ll all just go on and theorize.
Netflix releasing a lot of behind the scenes, interviews & breakdowns for this and every time they show the de-aged clips it looks fantastic and seamless.
Oscar campaign in full effect!
Ok trolling aside this crap doesn’t even deserve a nod for VFX, if it actually wins, then the oscars are literally a f***ing joke more so than they already are.
