Okay the time is nigh for yall to shut the hell up about M Night and pay respects to Marty
Incredible top tier film, a contender for best of the year. Will haul in some oscars if the academy doesn't hold a grudge against Netflix.
no im not. I literally have loved Shyamalan's movies since I was a kid and first saw Sixth Sense. Reading their reviews definitely helped me appreciate what Shymalan does as a filmmaker for sure, but I always loved his films regardless.
Also, you literally got more Hollywood s*** from 2019 logged than me. I ain't see that dogshit Refn show, that dogshit Aster movie, scary stories, childs play, toy story 4 all dat s*** lmao so that is cap
also I dont like After Earth, but Refn and Cosmatos trash is as bad as that if not even worse because of how pretentious they are.
also I already told u the SAS avy is one of irony. I don't respect him in anyway and think he a clown, but i enjoy that like I enjoy watchin Skip cuz the takes are funny, kinda like reading your s*** takes.
There is nothing to appreciate about Shymalan he's a clown just like yourself, and ironically pretentious too.
I have watched more movies this year than you have period so it's only logical that I have watched more Hollywood s***.
I don't think someone with your entry-level knowledge would understand those movies anyway.
This is what i'm getting from his SAS argument

It’s underdeveloped because it’s from a man’s memory of a family he was mostly absent from...
Like that is the point
Speaking to the memory bit Idk if it was on purpose but after Jimmy said some racist s*** infront of Frank I notice from then on we saw him saying more s*** about Italians.
Maybe I'm crazy but it just seems weird he seemed to get more racist and brazen.
Beforehand we didn't see it at all but it was almost like either Jimmy didn't feel comfortable at first because Frank and him werent close and as he got more agitated and comfortable he let loose.
OR it was a thing of Frank as he remembers more about Jimmy it became clearer he had racist tendencies. Almost like before that "Wap motherfucker" moment with Tony Pro it never clued in as much.
So as he retells the story I feel like he's almost paying more attention to what Jimmy said about folks.
Idk if what I said made sense at all lol
Locking this for a bit, stay on topic
their arguments is how I know the movie trash
i dont like how they made my guy robert go out sad in the end
but i get that its the point, in that life either you end up dead or miserable and lonely
their arguments is how I know the movie trash
nah somehow every thread ends up either attacking each other or talking about Disney

its a scorsese movie dawg all his characters go out sad
Am i the only one who thought Deniro was pretty much himself through the most of the film? He had his moments but for the most part it felt like he was super pulled back and going thru the motion like he is in real life.
ffs the phonecall the f***ing "lets get outta here cmon"
ffs
Idk why you’re choosing to engage in this mindless back and forth with him bro, you’re doing the same s*** that you’d been doing back in the old section
Let him practice

Scorsese said in an interview that dinero himself was perfect for the character. Dinero is the one who brought up the book to martin and everything, he got emotional describing the role to martin.
so yea dinero didnt really have to do much to play this character since he prolly felt connected to it in a deep wat

Ah fair enough.. It was like he had the same expression on his face 90% of the film. Comparatively Pacino and Pecsi stood out way more. I loved how understated and quiet Pecsi's acting was.
