That's 2 movies out of 10 b
He named 4 films. And Scorsese has had a number of great female performances in his films, whether it is in Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Wolf of Wall St, Goodfellas, or Aviator.
Also, Scorsese isn't obligated to have to tell stories about women b
If you wanna spew this bullshit twitter babble, you got a ton of trash ass movies out there you can watch like Hustlers, The Kitchen or Captain Marvel. Go ahead and support those rather than b****ing about diversity quotas for filmmakers like Scorsese.
Scorsese has done more for female filmmakers and actresses than most studios have done in general
Literally his longtime editor is a woman and he had to literally help her get approved as an editor in the union to work with her.
I just don’t understand your POV Jaco, do you want women to be 20min represented in every movie despite regarding the story telling?

I just want women and niggas represented......but these are Scorsese films

yes, so its his artistic vision. And you want him to force some s*** he don't feel for the sake of diversity.
Go out there and support female driven films instead of b****ing about one of the few creatives left in this industry.

So it's Martin's artistic choice to be racist and sexist
the funniest s*** is he wouldn't say anything about Greta Gerwig's movies being all about white women.

Both can be true b

How are his movies racist or sexist? You realize his stories are literally about how toxic these men are right? Scorsese is literally the opposite of sexist and racist considering he employs women and people of color to be long standing collaborators on his films and he has helped POC/women filmmakers get their projects made.
Irishman is definitely a creative movie, never have I ever seen a similar story before.
So it's Martin's artistic choice to be racist and sexist
So because There’s not as much women and black as you would like to in a Scorsese movie you think he’s racist and sexist?!
Both can be true b
or maybe, just maybe, the real problem is that there are too many white male content creators in Hollywood and instead of forcing white men to write about women and POC and make something that would actually be insulting, we should advocate for more diversity in the creators
Oh wait, Scorsese has LITERALLY done this.

Only if a director has been around since the 70s

Umm you do know characters in Scorsese films have said racist s***, while niggas didn't roles in the same movie, right? Goodfellas for example

Yes, that's the character. And their racism isn't glorified, its literally meant to capture a time period. Also his movies normally revolve around europeans in America so obviously there aren't going to be black people.
Again, why are you so adamant that a 80 year old white man write in female and black characters like he knows what it's like to be either one of them?

Fam do you realize you're giving me white supremacists answers
Lol i had the tv kinda low during that scene when Frank talks to whispers (beansie) about blowing up the Cadillac linen place and I couldn’t understand a f***ing word he was saying 🤣😂😂

No I'm not. A movie doesn't have to echo to you modern Twitter SJW babble. Do you expect italian gangsters in the 50s and 60s to say "I believe in equality for all?"
Only if a director has been around since the 70s
Scorsese isn’t a gangster but that’s what he saw and grew up in, so he did lot of movies about what he knows! and i would never ask for any less or more from him or anyone else
Gus Van Sant has been around for a while I think and I’m pretty sure he’s openly gay, he made a movie about some gay people, because that’s what he knows
I think that’s good enough no?

Yes cause a Bronx tale exist.b

and that movie sucks donkey ass, so whats your point?
If a filmmaker is glorifying a racist or sexist period unlike Scorsese who shows the authenticity of these periods of time and then shows the toxicity of it all, then sure, one can say that filmmakers movies are racist/sexist
You know what else is racist though? When a corporation uses POC to tell a story that simplifies POC down into ideologies and manipulates a narrative to make us cheer for White-centric politics over that POC's culture. AKA Black Panther.

Reminder that all the money Black Panther did and does all goes to its white middle aged producer 😊😊
