For as much flack as this album gets, it holds a very special place in my heart. Probably one of the best times in my life and dropped on my birthday weekend. I can agree that some songs could be trimmed, but for a double album I’ll give it a pass. 2018 Drake was quite literally inescapable and this album was a big reason why

Great album in retrospect.

Some of his best boom bap s*** on Side A, After Dark and Peak are so f***ing good on Side B

Have to say after giving this a spin in the gym today I wish Drake continued in the R&B direction he had with songs like Final Fantasy and After Dark. These songs make a song like Slime You Out feel like regression, at least for what I like in a contemporary R&B sense. I hope he gets back in that bag down the road
