a lot of complicated social factors goes into why someone would commit acts of violence like this, but ppl will just blame it on something easy and scapegoat, it is easy to turn off the brain and become hateful because unfortunately thats what many have been taught and its largely incentivized by various social media platforms which reward mass engagement through inflammatory statements and quick thoughts

admittedly, it is also why i was never a fan of the "cis het white man" one-liner leftists, liberals, etc. would do in regards to mass shooting events because the violent rupturing alienation does cross across all social groups, even ones that would be considered marginalized, and it highlights the need for mental health help to benefit everybody, as well as a examination of society itself
