More Life is considered underrated though and for a reason. He got overshadowed that year objectively speaking. What was doing that was considered a major force?

Personally I think hip hop was the biggest genre even before 2017 but views was big for hip hop

That rappers are singers cause of Drake talking point is simply not true and is once again an opinion.

Who’s y’all when it comes to metacritic scores? That sounds like a you problem for bringing that up.

Sorry but Drake wasn’t making hip hop the #1 genre in 2017. Kendrick outsold him that year and ATL was making more noise than Drake was so…?? Even Flower Boy was highlighted more than More Life.
I heard Bodak Yellow than I heard anything off More Life man

Views debuted with over a million units .... 2017 and more life was a victory lap playlist ass szn and you comparing it to damn and Kennys most commercial album push ever cmon man you really think atl Kenny flower boy putting those numbers up 😂 the sound on devastated sound like flower boy or damn to you?..

and huhhhh? Bro there's a "metacritic score" post for nearly every album talked about on here ESPECIALLY for drizzy

Kanye never did that. His longest consecutive stretch was 2010-2013

You can’t be serious lol , 2010-2013 !?!?! Only …. What about all the albums/songs he produced , the the Nike sneakers … than the Yeezy brand . No one has had a run like Kanye . From 04 till now , because he worked every year on something and still had music coming out. Rocawear and Sean John are the closest to the Yeezy brand but they’re so far apart lol

Just when your favorite rapper thought the coast was clear to finally start dropping music.

Papi’s back to throw a wrench in all their plans.

I agree honestly but the masses (including pop fans) were heavily tuned into the hip hop hits that were challenges and s***. Then they even started incorporating hip hop in their music for better or worse (Katy Perry career was never the same after that SNL s*** lmao)

Facts. Either way though, putting it all on Drake is a silly thing for that guy to do lol.

Drake himself said that 50 was one of his biggest influences when it comes to the singing s***. He said this during his rap radar interview in 2020 or 2019.
I’m a huge Drake fan too but you’re clearly out of your element when it comes to hip hop outside of Drake and friends

And he was literally talking about him "singing" on 21 questions.. and you know he said that cuz he didn't wanna give Kanye any props right?? 😂

Real drake fans know Kanye inspired drake for his signature style after 808s and any HIP HOP HEAD would easily know that too (pun intended for anyone who caught the say what's real reference 👉🏽)
