This sort of reminds me of documentary “ standing in the shadows” (which I suggest if you haven’t seen it
) which is about Motown house band for over 2 decades supplying the music in that one small room and rarely did they see a songwriting credit. They were just gassed up as “ you are doing a great job, boys. 😎”
The funk bros deserved more than just a Sundance acclaimed documentary. Clearly these men didn’t have any leverage in the 60’s & 70’s. But I guess if you just never put your foot down hard, this always happens. 😒

There’s a lot of emotional moments in that film. I think the dvd is the best option because of the extras. I don’t remember watch8ng the extras. Gonna have to buy it. 😳
