Was my s*** back in the day flaws and all. I never played the sequel so I just dld the ROM on my phone and s*** is just unplayable without a real controller man .

Brother I have been playing video games since many on here existed. I have played a wide array of everything. Genuinely been playing games for 30 years and with divorced parents single mom I done lived in funcoland, ebgames, gamestop , game crazy. I think every first party company that has that much money should have open world rpg, open world modern day games. Sandbox games. All of that. Especially with these advances in tech. Why is everyone trying so hard for live service games yet havent thought of that is beyond me.

I have literally played all of Rockstar Games and they are why I wanted to make games. Manhunt was crazy dope too. Would be dope to see them do a Manhunt in between again. Even though people would complain they want more open world

Nah just so many developers shut down. They had a major miss and the cost crushed them. Miss when there were so many more various developers that could make games of various budgets. Them crumbling has really homogenized what most games are or even attempt to be. Thats why PC is nice because a lot more variety and early access games

Streets of NY flopped cuz word got out it was glitchy af and on Xbox there was literally a glitch that stopped you from finishing the game lmao

Streets of Ny 2 getting cancelled as well as true crime Hong Kong which later got rescued and turned into Sleeping Dogs

I mean also published by Activision and once Activision saw the call of duty money they never looked back at things like this

Never liked saints row but they legit kinda took over the sandbox lane for a minute after gta 4 dropped and was getting a lot of flack for having way less features and being less over the top than Sam Andreas

So this popped up on my algorithm today, according to the designer the game was a str8up sequel to streets of LA originally with Nick Kang in NY and half way thru activision had them change the whole story and character models cu they wanted a black main since it was in Ny and so all the cutscenes got deleted and they didn’t push the game back, explains a lot especially the rushed story
