His music along with J Dilla, Nujabes & much more have saved my life.

Pretty much all my musical heroes have passed away or they became bitter hateful caricatures of what they used to be...I'm really at a loss rn.

atleast with brian wilson passing this year, there was some relief knowing he lived a very long life and was relieved of his suffering. D was too young to go and deserved many more decades of life. s*** is so heartbreaking

The influence he had on the way music is felt and played can’t be overstated. I don’t know a single truly cracked musician who isn’t influenced by his music in some form.

I’d imagine he was one of the few people in the industry who knew what D’Angelo was dealing with. Can’t imagine how hard it was for him to act like everything was ok, while he had this on his mind for months
