i enjoy this place too much to make that wager. but the album isnt coming in september and would hope that he doesnt have hope in things that have no release date

It's reportedly due out in *October, but I hear you. A lot of times a season, month, even full date is given and it doesn't work out. We're disappointed as fans anticipating new work.

You really don't think it's egregious to do that to every artist tho? Nobody can actually have their s*** together and know what they're doing? Lol saying a month as opposed to a date doesn't necessarily mean a date isn't nailed down, in Sampha's case. And vice versa. Just like how Cudi can promote 9/15 for months and suddenly his album has been delayed to January. S*** happens behind the scenes sometimes.

if an artist is serious then they will give an exact date. cudi doesnt make good music and is also extremely insecure so he couldnt even handle an actual date, and his album also obviously wont come in january

It's just a lil strange because then you'd be completely discrediting all the other times an artist has said a month and delivered on it. Please don't ask for examples, surely you know this has happened numerous times in the history of music so we don't have to do that. Lol. And if and when Sampha delivers in October, you'll continue the same spiel.

Is this something that you think is a somewhat new phenomenon? How long has this been an observation of yours?

i cant think of any good examples of an artist delivering on a season or a month of the top of my head but im sure it has happened. im also sure it is really rare.

as always i would love to be proven wrong, but ill only believe it when there is a date attached to it
