The concept of marketing is not flawed, it's your repeated attachment of quality of music to that concept. Music should be judged by how it sounds, all that marketing riff raff does not impact quality. Commodifying expression and quality of said expression through means other than the music itself is understandable regarding business, but not a definitive requirement! Especially with an artist like RXK Nephew, kinda tone deaf
But you haven't listened to the music like that, thus don't know what type of musician you're talking about and overall sound quite clueless given the context
