Just took the shock thing too far after that even if MMLP and TES are great albums. I wince listening to some of those songs on there. But SSLP really is his best written, most "hip hop" work. Felt like a kid's cartoon version of Redman with a twist of horrorcore in there.

Action Bronson is okay but he's honestly a pretty flagrant derivative of Ghostface Killah

El's overall artistry is elite tier and he is actually a great rapper but is a bit weird so I get why he may not appeal to a lot of folks
