  • RuneScape: Dragonwilds is Jagex's standalone open-world survival RPG set in the RuneScape universe.

You land on the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, where dragons have taken over and wild magic is basically breaking reality. You gather resources, build a base, level RuneScape-style skills, craft gear, do quests, explore new regions and eventually work your way up to fighting the Dragon Queen.

Playable solo or in co-op with up to 4 players.

Think Valheim / Enshrouded-style survival, but with RuneScape skills, lore, enemies, music and a much bigger emphasis on magic.

It feels very RuneScape without just being "RuneScape but with prettier graphics."

The game also pulls in classic RuneScape creatures and factions, including Zogres and Black Knights, alongside new enemies made for Dragonwilds.

Dragonwilds originally launched in Early Access in April 2025 and hit 1.0 on September 15, 2026.
1.0 finishes the Kuldra saga and launched across PC and consoles with crossplay. Jagex has also said 1.0 isn't the end of the game, more regions, skills, quests, bosses, enemies and story content are planned after launch.

Price is $29.99 for the standard edition.

    Anybody playing?

I skipped most of the Early Access period but 1.0 looks way more fleshed out than I expected. The RuneScape skill system + survival formula actually seems like a really natural fit.
