If the person who fired first killed him, it's Murder.
However, if the person who fired in self-defence killed him it may be involuntary manslaughter. I could see a scenario where they still charge the original shooter with murder since he escalated the situation.

man if my brother accidentally killed my other brother (i know, nephew, but that's his brother) how could things ever be the same between he and I or any of us in the family?

Initial shooter would definitely be charged with murder whether they killed him or not because accidental death in the commission of a felony is still a thing.
