Future, HNDRXX, and The Wizrd are all amazing albums but none of them are classics. A project can be great without being a classic
nahhhhhh hyperbole >>>
OK I just started watching The WIZRD on Apple Music again
8 repeats and we’re at launch time, who’s with me?
do I have enough coke to last? NO
I remember first hearing Tony Montana like what the f*** is this garbage lol. Now it sounds like it could drop today no prob
Then Turn on the Lights was great
It wasn’t until Honest when he really clicked for me. Pluto is a weak album but necessary for his growth

Idiot
Pluto birthed half of these rappers, go listen to it again, and remember it came out 2012, no rapper ever did that style back then
That still doesn’t mean it’s a classic project lmao

Turn on the Lights is still one of my favorite future songs, just feels so euphoric, not many of his songs sound like it

got my tool and my blow, dem my two main hoes
me and all my woes stick together like the zoes
yeah I kinda agree with you, Future has some filler but he isnt an album artist tbh he is a song factory lmao, and even then every project he dropped has multiple great songs. He never dropped trash either.
I wasnt talking about discographies tho, I consider catalogues a different thing to discographies. Artists like Future, Drake, Weeknd maybe dont always make the most cohesive projects and sometimes make their albums longer than they should but they still deliver good s*** constantly (Singles, Loosies, Features, almost always at least B+ projects)
Kendrick definitely up there with the best catalogues even tho he didnt drop as much as the other artists I mentioned. He definetly has the cleanest discography tho.
My top 5 of the decade If we are talking catalogue would be Drake, Kanye, Future, Weeknd and maybe Kendrick.
HM would be Rocky, Spitta, Thug, Gibbs, Ross and Trav
The thing is I think Future can be a great album artist if he wants. DS2, 56 nights, Monster are all great albums imo (even tho 56 nights technically a mixtape) that are cohesive imo. WZRD dope as hell too it’s just long as hell.
But yea good call on Curren$y his albums get overlooked too
why it feel like the people that hype up recent stuff like Wizard, High off Life, Self titled weren’t there real time from like Honest -> DS2
not trying to be a hipster a****** lol but there’s just no way you can say he’s topped any project from that early run. Some great songs and features but the albums been lacking overall
56 Nights and DS2 were concise, WZRD felt like it was recapturing that magic imo
where will you be when future goes 3/3 this decade
Nah lets not ignore that uzi collab tape that was some ass
personal classic maybe
People itt naming 7 Future albums as classics is absurd I agree but ds2 was foundational for rap at the time. An influential piece of work that solidified Future's versatility. Just had a new re-release on record store day, too, not that it matters necessarily but it's cool to see. Seems reasonable that if we're talking about any Future album as 'classic', that one is in the convo.

So many skips on that

Biggest and fastest cash grab I’d ever seen after EA sold a s*** ton back to back
