I speak English fluently but I got no clue what bon iver be talking bout half the time but that s*** hits tbh

Bon Jver, Carti and Cocteau Twins are the pinnacle of not understanding what theyre saying but you feel it in your bones

this is her MBDTF in the sense that i feel like ppl who dislike it is just because it’s TOO good and not risky yk?

people be saying this but i think its such a disservice to MBDTF plays it safe. The album is so ambitious and grand in scale that its a wonder it doesnt collapse or fall apart under its own weight.

It couldve easily been an album that feels too long, or tonally all over the place, or the features feel gimmicky. Idk how people can say MBDTF isnt risky just because it doesnt have a completely different sound the way Yeezus or 808s did

Damn spanish speakers are really cooking la yugular saying its non sensical
I know maybe like 25% spanish but is it really that hard to understand what shes saying in that last verse? she 's just making a play on words that things can be big yet small or small yet big at the same time

The macrocosm and microcosm in regards to spirituality. The universe existing within a single being and vice versa

Thats how i got it when i read the lyrics

absolutely insane first listen, like I was literally struggling to swallow, tears streaming down my face by track 3, can't even pinpoint exactly why cuz the album doesn't follow the usual tearjerker tropes and a lot of it flirts with coming off as too artsy and the language barrier makes it even more impressive, like there's a sense of transcendence in it, absolute beauty

This is a blonde/futuresex level pop album btw. Once every 5 years type album.

She is bringing the audience outside the lines. And succeeding wildly.

    once every decade imo

  • La Perla really put me onto Yahritza. She's so cold as a singer for being a teenager. I highly recommend checking out her stuff if you're unfamiliar with it.

Before checking, I knew he was going to give it some mediocre score

He is the internet’s biggest try hard contrarian. I also don’t think he does it for the views. He’s just naturally a douchey contrarian.

    3rd listen.

Musically, I'm more engaged with El Mal Querer and MOTOMAMI.

    Gorgeous vocals throughout, though.
