how does someone "act latina"?
Latinos and Spaniards have very different cultures bro. I don't follow Rosalia like that so I don't know what specifically people are talking about, but the idea is that she's biting Latin American culture

True. But like I said you hear reggaeton here all the time since it's the same language, and the inspiration for artists doing reggaeton is obviously going to be latin american artists.
To me the problem is the writing, they are so amateur. She's had good reggaeton songs in the past.

Yeah I'm sure there's gonna be more and more crossover. Again I don't rly follow her like that so idk the exact criticisms, but if she's the most popular non-latino reggaeton artist, she's gonna be getting backlash until others start hopping on as well.
Kinda like how when ppl from othe countries started doing hiphop and people were bare upset, saying they were just copying Americans. Now there's some proper established hip hop artists from France, Spain, south america, Poland, etc.

What is "Latin American culture" though? From Northern Mexico to Patagonia, you'll find many different cultures, ethnicities, languages...
But the broad Latin culture and heritage that tie these very diverse countries together actually comes from... Spain (and Portugal, and France to a lesser extente). That's why it's called LATIN America. Just like the broad US, Canadian, Australian and NZ culture comes from England.

Of course they all have different cultures, but generally speaking their cultures have more in common with each other than with Spain. Just because these countries were colonized by Spain doesn't mean their cultures haven't evolved. Many of them fused with the cultures of the Indigenous people there and became something different.
Like in your example, American culture is very different from England culture, even though they were an English colony. Im sure many English people would be offended if you referred to them as American, and vice versa.
I am Cuban myself bro. I'm not some ignorant outsider with an opinion. Spanish culture is very different from Latin American culture in the foods they eat, their music, dances, dialect, family life, etc. Yes each country has its own characteristics, but there is a lot of common ground that is not shared with Spain, and that is what is considered "Latin American culture".
YO NO SOY NI VOY A SER TU BIZCOCHITO
PERO TENGO TO LO QUE TIENE DELITO
QUE ME PONGAN AL SOL, QUE ME DERRITO
EL MAL DE OJO QUE ME MANDEN ME LO QUITO
Is she from a Latin American country or is she an American """latina"""?
lived in central america from like 4 to 15 and most her family still there. she did say she has friends that like rosalia tho
Wow I was bit skeptical based off the singles but she pulled it off, some of the most forward sounding production I’ve heard in pop this year
Did you check out CAPRISONGS by FKA Twigs? Production was spearheaded by El Guincho on that project too.
Why is the title track only a minute long? & basically an interlude?
I'm vexed by the excessive amount of basic Reggaeton drum beat on this
