    you need to learn to not be passive and start politely but firmly bringing things up as they come up

    otherwise youre just making yourself miserable by silently stewing while no one else has a clue that youre even bothered

    esp w roommates, nobody else knows what bothers you/how often you need xyz cleaned, its up to you to communicate that to people so everyones in agreement

    I understand that and I completely agree. There’s definitely a fine line between letting anything go and being polite while standing up for myself.
