I don’t even get that vibe from Harry personally although I don’t listen to Rod much. Harry just seems really generic to me.
he's generic but he and his team pull from 70s rock all the time in his sound, songs and how they present him
A much better list than the 2012 one they had tbh. They seem to not put 60s and 70s rock on such a huge pedestal this time.
i bet every 60s 70s album they had was better than fine line tho lol
that era does deserve to be put on a pedestal for guitar and singer-songwriter music imo, especially by rolling stone. it make sense, the iconic legacy they built in that era is the only thing keeping them relevant in 2020
Agreed but I’d still put Low End or Midnight over it if including stuff like impact, influence etc.
Agreed. 4 years later and no one really talks about the last one nearly as much as I thought they would when it first came out and I'm not sure why

Haven’t heard much from him but I can see that.

I mean I get that but I feel like there were a lot of albums that were just as influential but better crafted. Regardless miseducation should not be above any of those lol
I feel you,no one really discusses Lauryn like that now but she’s definitely respected. MOLH doesn’t deserve Top 10,it’s a classic but it’s not a landmark in Hip Hop at all.
also, OP took out a lot of the more interesting choices on the list. there's still a heavy lack of jazz and folk music though, including some other genres. it's definitely skewed towards rap and pop.

True but I do believe it’s their best album, was in my top 3 from last decade.
Nwts deserves to be on there
they should put it on instead of iyrtitl and probably tc too

Pandering to a new audience that’s why
Yea I can definitely see that but at least this means hip hop albums finally getting the recognition like they should
"It is hard now to separate Thriller from its commercial stature (Number One for 37 weeks, 33 million copies sold), the nightmarish tabloid celebrity that led to Jackson’s death, and the horrific revelations about him that have surfaced in recent years. But there was a time when we only knew Jackson as the King of Pop. This is it."

Yeah "they" didn't pick these albums, just brought in some famous zoomers to list 50 of the 100 albums they've heard and the result is hot trash
Then they placed Beyonces self titled a few spots over it
what is the obsession with them and beyonce on this list lol
out of female albums from the 2000s and 2010s they have her over amy and m.i.a. too

Wait a minute,Outkast-Aquemini was like #497 on the last list but now it’s #49? That’s a huge difference.

all these things are true tho lol
maybe they should just focus on the music, but those things are still true. and his image is more complicated now than it was in the 80s
