FREEThis s*** is awful man im so frustrated because the main consumers and supporters of this s*** are people who will never be affected by it.
The thing that really gets me is lyrics glamorizing opiate use/prescription meds. I can't f*** with that anymore. I'm from western MD/WV and the s*** is killing whole communities
I was student teaching the day after Peep died and I'll never forget how that s*** affected people. Literally last month one of my students, a massive Peep stan, had to drop out of our program to go to rehab, she would quote him all the time and I'm thinking it's your life but ugh idk
It's one of those situations where the music provides comfort but also unfortunately creates a really toxic negative headspace that reinforces depression they're already experiencing because their lives suck
And again I'm not one to police art I just wish some of these platforms were used differently
